Jane Urquhart has looked after the staffing and training of domestic staff (including butlers and housekeepers) for many years.
Jane was a guest on LBC Radio in the afternoon on Sunday 5th when she joined Bill Buckley in the LBC food and drink programme in answering listener’s questions on the rights and wrongs of entertaining at home, and the advantages gained from employing a cook for any special event.  This was a great opportunity to promote the services offered by Lumleys Cooks and Jane did an excellent job.   Among those subjects discussed was the dilemma one caller found herself in when having to plan a dinner party for friends with a variety of dietary needs and how she could cater for everyone’s tastes.  Jane was able to give her helpful suggestions as to how she could handle this and what she could prepare.  One of the other callers brought up the sticky problem as to whether one should open and drink the wine brought by a guest, or store it away for another occasion and go ahead with the wine already planned for the evening.  Jane was able to suggest lots of solutions to various problems and the half hour that she was broadcasting went very quickly and was a great success.
